1. Q: My friend has a computer
built by Computer Junction. Can you build a system for me?
A: In the past, we did indeed
custom-build a number of nice systems. However, we no longer build
home-user or SOHO computers. On occasion, when a client has
a need for a very high-end SCSI server or graphics workstation which
cannot be ordered from one of the major manufacturers, we can certainly
put one together.
2. Q: Do you service computers outside
of the Flathead Valley?
A: Yes. We have clients all over the
country. We are able to troubleshoot most problems using software
which allows us to access our clients' computers remotely.
Due to our demanding schedule, we travel only when a problem cannot
be solved using remote access and/or the help of your local technician.
As far as web hosting goes, your physical location is not a concern,
as everything is done through the internet.
3. Do you fix monitors or printers?
A: We do not fix monitors. A monitor
is more like a TV than it is a computer. We recommend calling
your local TV repair shop. We fix printer problems if the problem
involves the computer. If the problem is mechanical (paper jam,)
we can give you the number of a local printer repairman.
4. Q: I think I have a virus. How
can I know? What can I do to get rid of it? Why am I
always getting viruses even though I have anti-virus software?
A: If your anti-virus program has
detected a virus and you can remove it with your anti-virus software,
great. Otherwise, you will need to call and schedule an appointment
to have the virus removed, damaged files repaired, and your virus
software updated. Your anti-virus software is only as good
as your most recent update.
5. Q: We are thinking of having "smart
home" technology in our house (or business.) Can you help us
with this?
A: Yes. Wireless technology and computer-controlled
devices have an infinite number of applications. We have many
years of experience with this technology. From consulting through
installation, we can help.
6. Q: I just need to buy some parts
so I can upgrade my computer myself. Can I buy parts from you?
A: No, we do not retail computer parts.
7. Q: Do you have any used computers/monitors/printers
for sale?
A: We do not. We warranty everything
we sell, and we would not be able to warranty or stand behind used
equipment.
8. Q: We have a very large office
complex. It occupies several floors. We would like to have DSL installed
and have all our computers networked together. Can you handle this?
A: Absolutely. Networking is
our specialty. No job is too large. We do not provide DSL
or any form of internet access, but we do provide the high-quality
firewall routers and modems required to get you connected, as well
as networking cards, hubs and routers, both cable and wireless.
